About Peninsula
Peninsula is a notch app for MacBooks. It is made by one person, Siddharth Karia, an independent developer.

Why I built it
I built Peninsula because I kept opening Notes for one line, losing things I had copied, and parking files on my desktop just to move them into another app. I wanted all of that in one place I could reach without leaving what I was doing.
I kept it to four tools on purpose. Support email comes straight to me.
What it is
Peninsula puts four tools in the MacBook notch: notes, clipboard history, a file shelf and music controls. Hover the notch and they are there. Move away and they are gone. It does not try to do more than that.
How it is made
- A native Mac app, written in Swift. It needs a MacBook with a notch and macOS 14 or later.
- Signed and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it without the "unidentified developer" warning.
- No account and no cloud. Your notes, clipboard history and shelf files stay in your own Library folder. The app goes online to check your license and to check for updates, and sends a crash report only if you choose to. There is no analytics or tracking. The privacy page lists exactly what it sends.
- Updates are free and arrive inside the app. The first version shipped in December 2025. Every release since is on the changelog.
